Cleaning Stainless Steel Home Appliances

Stainless steel refrigerators and ovens look very sleek and they can add a touch of sophistication to any kitchen. However, keeping them spic and span is another story. Since stainless steel has a reflective surface, water marks, fingerprints and smudges can be very obvious. To keep your appliances looking their best, regularly clean them with a few items found in your home.

Most of the time, wiping with a slightly damp cloth is enough. You may use water with soap but never use detergents containing chloride. For stubborn water marks and smudges, try rubbing small amounts of olive oil or vinegar. Rub gently and make sure to wipe it clean again with a little water. Once all the smudges are gone, wipe the surface once more with a dry cloth to remove any traces of moisture. If fingerprint marks are the problem, your favourite glass cleaner should take care of it.
